Happy Holidays – Take 1 aka “We fired Santa” December 18, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — Sweet Mary K. @ 11:21 pm

We had to fire Santa for his unprofessional and disrespectful behavior during our shoot.  We found it very difficult to work under those circumstances.  Our apologies to all those who were expecting a jolly fat man in the final take!

Enjoy and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!!

Every year, around the holiday season, all around the globe, people have junk rabbits that need to be fed something extra special!  This particular piece of junk is the jewel of the junkyard and we certainly hope that it satisfies our very hungry junk rabbit.

Enjoy and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!!

It’s been so long December 10, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — Sweet Mary K. @ 7:40 pm

It’s been so long since I’ve written a blog. Jesse and I have been on the road with DAT for the past 3 months and we’ve been going, going, going like crazy!

We’re now driving across the country with my mother and sister so we can get to NYC before family time at Christmas.

Although this road trip has been very exhausting for me, I really had a great time and I am grateful for the experience!

ugh, and I have cramps, but we keep plugging along- East Coast here we come!

See you soon, NYC.

Today is Jesse’s birthday and we’ve been up since 4:30 a.m. this morning, traveled to Denver and gained 2 hours, and will be going out to a pub with our friends, Dan and Isa Sauve, who are hosting us here in Denver.

Photo Blast from our Past! November 2006

A LONG day for your birthday! :) But, you know Jesse, he’s loving every minute of it!

It’s so inspiring the way he lives his life, so happy all the time- I really don’t think I’ve seen him upset more than 10 times in the 2+ years we’ve known eachother, and probably at least half of those times he was sick! It makes it fun and easy to love him!

Ok, enough with the gushy stuff.

He’s spending the day with his very good friend (I would say “best”, but he has a few “best friends”) Dan- hosting us- and they are creating an awesome video podcast! It is called “Junk Rabbit” and it will be on BlipTV and itunes soon :) .

Here’s the image for the Podcast:

The first video, “whatever”, will be the next blog post.

Great way to spend your birthday, good times with good friends

We’re in Denver for the start of Dramatic Adventure’s College Tour. Check out the Tour Schedule and Contact Me if you want to meet up somewhere along the way! (The Tour will be updated as November gets more structured, so keep checking it.)

Life today, Sep 15th September 15, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — datheatre @ 3:57 pm

I haven’t titled this blog yet because I don’t know what I’m writing about exactly. Usually I come in because I need to write something, I want to make an update or get something off my chest, but today I just don’t know…

It has named itself, 179. I’m not going to leave it like that, of course, but what does that mean? It’s not the number of posts by far! hmm, I don’t know why it chose that number…

Jesse, tomorrow's birthday boy

Jesse, tomorrow's birthday boy

Tomorrow’s Jesse’s birthday. I love birthdays and I believe people should be spoiled rotten on their birthday! Is that because I want to be spoiled rotten on MY birthday? Maybe- but I also spoil others, so I think it works out.

Mom, good at birthdays

Mom, good at birthdays

My mom has always been great at birthdays. I think it’s because her parents are post-Christmas babies (both of them on the 29th) and they always made a big deal about birthdays. So now, she makes a big deal about birthdays, which is great, because I too am a post- Christmas baby (Dec. 30th). She always makes me feel really special on my birthday and that’s something I try to do for other people now, like my sweet Jesse.

Liz... basically just the best...

Liz... basically just the best...

Liz though, my sister, she’s the best at birthdays! Well, gift giving in general, she’s the best I know. It must be something in her that was in her before she got to Earth, because she’s just amazing at it. Always thinks really hard about the person, things she and the giftee have in common, and it makes the giftee feel like they are special to her, and that means a lot because when you’re on her good list, you feel like you’re part of the cool crowd.

The only problem is it causes a huge complex for me about what to get her, especially when I was in Ecuador this year and she and Ari went to Mexico a few years ago… at least I can normally call… but anyway, what do you get the person who will get you a 10 times better gift next holiday? It’s stressful.

Why does it turn into that? Stress? Why can’t it just be fun and exciting to shop for gifts for people? It’s not like Liz, or anyone for that matter (except one person and he just can’t be helped), has given me grief about not getting them “the right” present.

SUBJECT CHANGE

Ok, I was just looking at wedding things so now my mind has totally wandered again. I’m just all over the place today, and now I should go change the laundry, or I’ll be all over town naked as a jinny bird!

Aye ya ya, life, it’s so interesting to me today.

Oh, PS, I’m getting ready to help my mom with this really cool project, I hope everyone’s excited for the surprise (coming in October- chill, it’s not THAT far away!)

xoxo
