Jesse and I are spending two full days in Boulder, CO for our ACTion:Ecuador College Tour, and so far we are having the best time!
HISTORY: We’ve been to Boulder before, in January 2007, during our first trip together as a couple and my first time to Denver to meet his good friend Dan and his wife Isa. We came up to Boulder for a day trip and spent the whole day doing touristy things:
We also visited this Meadery, which was really fun although we have no photos of it, and we met this really strange couple. They must have been twice our age, but they were really awkward together and I just remember feeling really weirded out by them… They must have been a new couple, but I really don’t think they were right for each other. Maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t think Jesse and I were ever that awkward around each other, especially not when we were with strangers. hmm…

And, of course, we went to a brewery (we are in Boulder, after all) and sampled all the beers... I got a little tired
Ok, funny little tid-bit, I’m wearing that same white sweater right now… I’m a clothes saver people!!!
So, YESTERDAY was the 18th and we, of course, worked. We went and talked with CU at Boulder about the ACTion Project and if you’d like to read more about that visit, click here. After work, we went over to downtown boulder and explored the Pearl Street Mall, very cool walking street with little shops along the way. I asked one female outfitters store if they sold the WhizFreedom, and of course they did not. (But, it’s ok, because I have MINE!!! YaY)
Then we found this little thrift store, so we decided to check it out. They were selling used costumes for Halloween, a lot of cool, vintage, white dresses… long story short, Jesse went next door to get a drink and wait for me, I took 4 dresses into the fitting room, called my mom, and bought a dress for $38.94, which could very well be my wedding dress! Oh my dear god!!! I can’t believe that happened!
WoW
So, after dinner, we went to see a live recording of etown! That was just amazing! I had no idea they were based here in Boulder, and we just happened to walk by and see that there just happened to be a live taping that night!!! Oh, and we walked in looking for seats and were directed up, and another staff member said, “wait, do you mind the front row?” and we were like, “uh, of course not!!!” So we were up close and personal with the guests, which I’ll talk about later, because we have to get out on the town!
xoxo,
Mary K
